April is national poetry month! Let's see your creative, creepy, and science fictiony side! Do your best, because at the end is a prize for this contest!

Kids do you like poetry and short stories to? Then this is the contest just for you! Write about aliens, the galaxy or stars. You never know where your imagination will take you and how far. Come to South Regional for the month of April and submit your poem or short story, for a chance achieve literary glory! The ultimate prize is a treat for all, but I need you to compete in this contest before night fall, on the last day of April. Pick up a submission sheet in the take and make box, hurry and be as fast as a fox. Take it write down your short story or poem and return it to the reference desk when your done.

About the branch

South Regional Library opened in 2010 to replace the Parkwood Branch of the Durham County Library. This 27,300 sq ft building offers meeting space, public computers, free WiFi, and access to printing and fax services.
