For our April meeting, the featured ingredient is TURMERIC. Used widely in Asian and Middle Eastern cuisines, turmeric adds a gorgeous yellow color and a flavor that is often described as earthy or peppery. You'll find it most often in savory dishes, but when used carefully it can add an intriguing flavor (and, of course, that beautiful color) to sweet baked goods as well.
To join in the fun, find a recipe that uses turmeric in any book or other source and prepare it sometime before the meeting. If possible, take pictures of the process and/or the finished product and send them to the address below. On the day of the meeting, we'll gather on Zoom and share our experiences.
Zoom link will be sent out the day before the meeting. Don't forget to register!
